Here are some more information for Turbo Back Exhaust:

Around half of the world's entire population, including both males and females and even the ones in between, are already hooked up on bikes, and mind you, these bikes are not the ones most people used to know way back in kindergarten or grade school.
What they dig are superbikes - bikes that are real flashy monsters when it comes to hitting the racetracks. And for anyone who loves to race and is dying for the rush racing gives, superbikes, with their powerful engines capable of speed that can raise hell, are no doubt a dream to have under one's roof.
There is just one problem, however. Superbike enthusiasts just cannot get enough, and are constantly in need of more speed; and as of late, the most tempting solution to this is the turbo. Installing turbochargers seems to be a promising way of enabling superbikes to achieve speeds that do not only raise hell, but also do blow it away. Or is it really?
It will be good to remember first what superbikes basically are. Superbikes were developed as an improvement of super sport bikes. Both are especially engineered for race track performance, the only difference is that superbikes are equipped with larger engines with sizes that vary from 800 cc to 1,200 cc. A usual superbike can bear a maximum of 480 lb, and can produce around 180 bhp. Superbikes are perhaps well-known because of the Superbike Racing, a category under motorcycle racing joined by modified production motorcycles. One thing should be remembered: superbikes belong to the racetracks. This explains why there is always a need for more speed.
Now, the crucial question: Can superbikes be fitted with a turbo? The answer is yes. Turbochargers do increase the performance of a motorbike's engine, resulting in around 40 percent more horsepower, minus the much additional weight. The turbo produces more power by escalating the density of air that passes trough the engine. Another interesting is that turbo systems can either be carbureted or fuel-injected, so anyone really has a choice.
In fact, motorbike turbocharger is making remarkable developments in the motor industry. The new Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R released this year boasts of digital fuel injection that works with its 1, 340 cc DOHC engine, and with a technology such as this, no wonder the new darling is getting praises here and there. Larry James, of James Racing, even said that turbo systems work well with that model.
No matter how reliable turbo systems are, there are still some things about turbochargers that anyone must be wary of. There is such a thing called turbo lag, a delay between the twisting the throttle and the turbo finally kicking in that can easily be noticed by most riders. This happens because the exhaust system takes time to drive the turbine to high pressure and for the rotor to beat its rotational inertia and attain the speed required for supplying the boost pressure. The lag can be reduced anyway, so there really is no reason to not go for turbochargers. To do so, all that should be done is to use lighter parts that will make the spin-up happen sooner. Another option is to change the turbine's aspect ratio which will decrease the diameter and increase the width.
As long as the right steps are followed, turbochargers can really help conquer that extra mile and grant anyone an incomparable racing experience

Turbo Diesel Cars; are They Worth Considering?
As of 2006, approximately half of all new car registrations in Europe were turbo diesel cars. The popularity of this type of car sprung out of the improvements it gives in fuel economy, noise reduction/elimination, vibration, and harshness.
Taking a closer look at the diesel engine you will find out that it has lesser speed range of about 1,000 to 5,000 rpm for private cars. This makes it ideal for turbo charging since the turbo will not exert much to change speed. Turbo lag is also reduced and efficiency is much more improved in a turbo diesel engine.
Since diesel engines need much compressed air to achieve ignition, there is no need to fit in dump valves, which could be an additional cost. Diesel cars do not have the throttle plates that close down when the car decelerates from a boost. The main function of the dump valve for the petrol-driven car is to serve as the bypass gadget for the extra pressure that has built up due to the closing of the throttle. This compressed air at very high temperature needs a way out else it will go back and eventually damage the engine.
Diesel cars have no use for the dump valve because their engines are built to use high-temperature compressed air. Performance is much better n a turbo diesel since there is hardly any lag in the next boost. With a gas-run car, the dump valve delays the next boost when gears are shifted.
In terms of fuel economy, turbo diesel cars are much more efficient. These cars can gain the much-needed power, plus more without waste of fuel. Fuel is burnt efficiently at an increased level to achieve optimum power. In diesel cars, the pressure that tends to increase the speed of the engine controls the turbocharger ? but this is dependent on the load.
Additional load to the diesel engine would result to greater resistance to the cylinders. Increased combustion and high temperature beget increased pressure and temperature on the exhaust gas. This revs up the car at a faster speed compared to a diesel car with less load ran on the same rpm.
Turbo diesel engines were used for light trucks in the 1990s in the United States. During that time, the diesel fuel had high sulphur content that caused a lot of problems with emissions. This was the reason why a lot of sedans, station wagons, and hatchbacks that have diesel engines did not sell as much.
In 2006, the ultra-low sulphur diesel came out in the market and manufacturers started to produce turbo diesels that run on this new fuel, with much attention on lowering emissions.
Turbo charging would also depend on the car to be modified. Take note that turbochargers increase the speed of the engine, which means there is increased temperature. The car to be fitted with a turbo diesel engine should be well equipped to withstand this heat.

Will a turbo back exhaust pass inspection in New Jersey?
I am looking to buy a used srt-4 from a private seller. He installed a turbo back exhaust and it eliminated the cats. If i take this car to pass emissions inspection, will it pass in the state of New Jersey? If not how much will it cost to correct this issue?
Would this be an extreme problem which would make it not worth buying? Or can this easily be fixed inexpensively.
no it wont they want you to have a cat because that what controls the bad exhaust.
you can buy after market cats and have them welded on.
if you buy it from the dealer they run between 300 and 1000.00
use that as bargaining power when buying the car.
good luck
