Have you wondered how the restaurant chef can dish out delicious pasta in short period of time when you take such a long time as compared? Do you realize that your pasta is being served to your table within 5 minutes when you know it takes at least 10 minutes to just cook the pasta? Here are some tricks you will need to know and use the stainless steel colander as well.
First of all, chefs parboil their pasta, so when an order comes to the kitchen, all they need is a minute or two to heat up the pasta and pull together a decent pasta in no time. What you can do is to bring a large pot of salted water to the boil, and cook your pasta till the water returns to a full, rolling boil. Next, drain the pasta using a stainless steel colander and shock it in ice water. Drain it again using the colander.
You can coat the pasta with olive oil and store them in a large container. Keep it refrigerated until you need it. It is this simply. You can parboil the pasta over the weekend and serve it for dinner during weekdays after a long day of work. It is simple and saves a lot of time.
When its time for dinner, all you have to do is to boil the pasta again and drain the boiling water using a stainless steel colander. You can serve it with the sauce within minutes. Try this technique and you will get hooked!

Useful Maintenance Tips for Your Stainless Steel Sink
Stainless steel sinks are known more for being utilitarian rather than aesthetic. These fixtures are some of the great choices for kitchens due to their durability and overall functionality. These excellent features are compensation enough for their lack of visual value, aside from their finish, of course. And to make sure that their ample aesthetic feature will last as long as their functionality, here are some helpful maintenance and care tips.
Common Do’s
Whenever you use your stainless steel sink, make sure you rinse it afterwards. Don’t settle with spray cleaners but add some elbow grease. After spraying safe and recommended cleansing agent, rub it for even distribution using a clean cloth under flowing water. This ensures that food residues and other harmful deposits will be cleared away.
After rinsing, don’t forget to dry the stainless steel sink, of course. This is especially important if your water is made of distilled water. Distilled water contains salts and minerals that can be left behind once the water evaporates. These deposits can cause water spots, which can be fortunately removed through a little bit of white vinegar.
In order to ensure that the sink will not be damaged during the cleaning process, use an approved cleaning agent. A mild or ultra mild abrasive cleaner is often advised for such fixtures. You don’t have to do this daily as weekly maintenance is enough to keep your sink from losing its shine and overall quality. Make sure, though, that you follow the grain marks of the sink when cleaning it.
Typical Don’ts
Like mentioned above, follow the marks when scrubbing the sink. This will make sure that the finish will be preserved, especially if the sink is made with fine polished lines.
Furthermore, never allow cleaning agents to dry on the surface of the sink. These cleaning solutions oftentimes contain harmful chemicals that can severely damage the quality of the steel. While you are not restricted from using them, make sure you keep them away and remove residue after every use.
The same is true for strong bleaches and chlorine. Allowing these chemical products to sit in the sink for a long period can seriously damage the quality of the stainless steel. An alternative would be to use think and a bucket of water, tandem.
Lastly, to further guarantee the preservation of the finish of your stainless steel sink, never use steel wool when cleaning it. This cleaning scrub contains small fibers that tend to fall on the sink unnoticed and eventually rust, damaging the steel along with it. Instead, opt for synthetic pads or nylon, which are safe and mild to the stainless steel.

any suggestions for selecting a new stainless steel refrigerator?
I looking at spending around 1000.
do you have any things I should condsider?
I need the most fridge space as possible
an ice maker would be nice but not a deal killer as I'm still loooking into the cost to running the water line.
home depo and lowes has them from 999 up to 3000 but I really don't know what to compare or look for.
thanks for any tips
I have heard from others that the ice makers break first. So save some money on not getting a fridge with an ice maker.
Check out the freezer on the bottom instead of the top.
I would stick with known brands.
