12. Secure the cap of the brake fluid reservoir and then shut the hood.

13. Check the engines and see to it that the brakes feel right. Pump the brakes to remove any air that has accumulated and also to compress the brake pads to the right distance from the rotor.

How much money would it cost to take a dodge truck srt-10 motor out and put it in a 4x4 dodge truck?

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that is 4x4. I want to take the v-10 out of their dodge srt-10 truck and put it in mine. i also want to put the transmission and driveline out. Basically i want to custom make a 4x4 srt-10. i am highly qualified to do this sort of thing since i have been working at a mechanics shop for 10 years. How much would this cost??

I recommend going to Advance Adaptors website and pricing out the required pieces. Also, you must insure the new tranny will bolt up to the tranfercase. You will most likely need different drive-line length's and I would recommend a heavier duty U-joint. Add in the cost's of a custom exhaust and miscellaneous other costs.

To save a lot of money... the greatest cost would be in the labour charge... Do it yourself.

PS. Expect at least a month with no truck... until you iron out all the little details you will run across.
