If you are in any doubt about the suitability of a tile ask your retailer for information regarding it’s recommended usage. This will take into account qualities such as the hardness, the toughness of the glaze or tile, frost resistance, heat resistance, scratch resistance etc. If they cannot provide this information then you could be taking a risk. What is the procedure to paint on polished brass lamp?

I have 2 lamps made from ceramic and polished brass. The top is ceramic and bottom polished brass. Please give me info on how to revamp these lamps, especially the brass section. What paint, if I have to sand etc. I was thinking metallic paint/spray paint.Something that will stick to the brass I was thinking of black on the bottom section and a different colour on the ceramic as my decor is in red and black. What paint can I used for the ceramic?

since you are going to need to go to your local home depot or lowes, ect. just ask the ppl that work in the paint department there. i worked at sears in tools for a few years and they teach all of the paint employees just about everything they need to know, including how to answer that for ya!
