mitsubishi lancer and evo?

Is the 2.0L I4 motor in the regulart lancer and the 2.0L I4 motor in the mitsubishi evo the same except in the evo the evo has a turbo? or are they 2 diffrent motors?

The 2.0 L engine in the regular Lancers is the 4G94 that puts out about 120 hp. The engine used in the Evo is the 4G63T. Both engines are built in Japan. The 4G94 has an iron block engine with SOHC cylinder head. The 4G63 comes in SOHC and DOHC. It was introduced in 1987 was used in the Galant VR4 and the 1990-1999 Eclipse. The SOHC was used in the Galant line. The 4G63 is an iron block engine with aluminum cylinder heads that's found in the Evo now a days.

The new Evo X uses a brand new 4B11 turbocharged engine. The all new Lancers have the same 4B11 engine that puts out about 152 hp.
