Break system, tune-ups, performance mufflers, and transmission repairs. Cars are valuable enough, both representing luxury and necessity. What's more is after having spent a lot of your hard-earned money, maintaining its good condition is difficult without having it constantly serviced. And when it comes to that precious car, you cant just go anywhere to have it fixed. Product and maintenance should go hand in hand. And a good auto shop company is just what you need to get the job done... and get it done right.
If you love your car you wouldn't just take it to any old garage. And if dealerships are too expensive for you then you just have to settle for an auto repair shop that's enough to work on your car without compromising the work of the service.
Of course there are auto repair shops that go beyond the call of duty in terms of fixing and providing for your car. What are the qualities you need to consider before you entrust your valued vehicle into the hands of another?
First, of course, is reputation. A well-known auto shop speaks for itself when we're talking about good service. It's great when their usual clients speak well of them, but its better if their competitors respect them as well. Some town repair shops usually rely on each other when there is a car problem they can't seem to fix. Imagine having your car in the hands of the best repairmen in town, known not just through their clientele but as well as the competition.
Fully furnished and well-maintained facilities is another obvious quality. Having the capacity to handle tough jobs on your car, using top-of-the-line machinery shows, not just the shop's capacity but also its commitment to delivering quality service through advanced equipment.
Clientele is another factor. The number and variety of vehicles an auto repair shop attends to speaks well of its capacity to attend to different classes of vehicles. It tells of how well it can accommodate, with a great deal of expertise, even the unique specifications of your car.
Lastly, don't forget to consider customer service. Your car is not the ultimate client but you of course. A shop that looks after your best interest and attends to your comfort in as much as it does your vehicle is a plus factor.
Being particular about how your vehicle is taken care of is every car owner's right. Whether it's just for comfort and style or for practicality and function, either way, it's about getting what you need for something well used and well earned.

Survey Reveals Increased Concern for Global Warming
In 1824, Joseph Fourier discovered the greenhouse effect, and then in 1896, Svante Arrhenius investigated the phenomenon. They both define it as the process by which emissions of infrared radiation by atmospheric gases warms a planet. These atmospheric gases occur naturally and its nature’s way of keeping Earth inhabitable.
Greenhouse effect in itself is not a bad thing for without the atmospheric gases, the Earth will not be warm enough for life to exist. One of the atmospheric gases that are a main component of this effect is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide has always been part of nature, and the greenhouse effect is proof of that.
But with the Industrial Revolution and the advent of vehicles, the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere increased significantly from the increase in the amount of burning fossil fuel. This, in turn, caused the increase in the heat trapped in the atmosphere which causes global warming. Sadly though, this issue has been around for years but the majority of the global population chose to ignore this.
In recent years though, the number of concerned individuals are increasing. One survey conducted recently by the International Communications Research shows that more and more Americans are concerned about global warming. The study commissioned by the Piaggio Group Americas found out that 70 percent of the polled respondents said that they are concerned about the global warming issue.
In addition to that 80 percent of the 1,000 polled Americans stated that they feel that government intervention is needed to address the growing problem. The majority of respondents said that they want the government to enact legislations that will cut down the use of fossil fuels of American motorists.
Aside from those figures, the study found out that 40 percent of the polled respondents have experienced growing concern for global warming within the past twelve months. This shows that the issue of global warming is new to a large number of Americans. Or if it is not new to them, they have chosen to ignore the issue until recently.
The respondents pointed out different reasons for the increased concern on global warming. Almost twenty percent of tem cited that they have developed concern about global warming after they have watched Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” documentary. More than sixty percent of the respondents refer to unusual weather patterns as the factor for their increased concern.
The global community has been experiencing relatively mild winter and increasingly violent storms and this fact has lead many people to take notice of the global warming issue.
The result of the study shows that majority of Americans believe that using high quality exhaust components like a Magnaflow catalytic converter is not enough to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Majority of Americans want the government to take action on the pressing matter. The government has already begun addressing the situation evident in the “Twenty in Ten” campaign outlined by President George W. Bush on his State of the Union Address in January of this year.

Will A Magnaflow Dual Exhaust improve my gas mileage?
Ok, I'm looking to buy a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire GT coupe. It has a magnaflow dual exhaust on it already, and also an aftermarket intake. It has the 2.4 L 150 HP engine in it. I know that the dual exhaust will give me more HP and Torque, but will it improve my gas milage also?
Thanks in advance!
Unless the exhaust is specifically designed for your engine I doubt if you would notice any improvement. A lot of my friends have similar engines with aftermarket intakes and exhaust and they never notice any difference. None of them have a 97 Sunfire GT coupe with magnaflow dual exhaust though. I would expect 1-2 miles per gallon improvement but like I said before, my friends did not notice a change. Hope that helps.
