Introducing the Evo Mitsubishi
Obviously, the car itself is a by-product of parts from other related models of the like that first hit the sales showroom in the 1990's. Over the years there have been several models distributed including a sedan version but the most popular is of course, the EVO. The car does clear an outstanding performance rating but there are other things to consider when purchasing such a vehicle.
PROS of the Evo
The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO is the sportier version to the sedan of the same name. The engine is turbo charged, making it faster and trendier than its counterpart. It boasts of having an excellent performance rating and has also been chosen as a top rally car. The vehicle also has a serious handling system for awesome maneuverability and the MR version has been refined. Some of the physical attributes to it are its "race car-style bucket seats and steering wheel", a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine with 295 horsepower, enabling the driver to reach accelerated speeds in a matter of micro-seconds, The MR includes an all new Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission, and the GSR has a five-speed manual Transmission and optional spoiler.
CONS of the Evo
The Evo Mitsubishi has a less than favorable ride on the GSR model and exhibits easy tire wear with excessive use. Other complications through daily use of the vehicle include: the clutch wearing out over time, engine cracking, and leaks occurring in the fuel lines. Back in the years of '08 and '09 there was a recall on the EVO because the fuel pipe would crack and leak. The breaks on this model car are expensive to replace and used as an everyday means of transportation, they would most definitely have to be replaced about every 6 months to a year. The car's compact size makes it dangerous to involve in an accident.
Hey I prepared a Free Evo Mitsubishi guide on the most talked about subject about the Evo IX and up. From tuning, things to look out for before buying an used Evo, and some of the most common problems. Just go to my blog at Evo Mitsubishi follow the directions.
The Mitshubishi Lancer
The Mitshubishi Lancer, a famous family car series manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. It has various names around the world from different times, for example, Colt Lancer, Chrysler Valiant Lancer, Eagle Summit, Chrysler Lancer, and Mitsubishi Mirage.
Since 2009 it has been sold under the brand name of Galant Fortis in its Japanese home market. In 2007, Sep. 15, Lancer Fortis, a different version of Galant Fortis with a different face lift begun to sold in Taiwan market.
Mitshubishi Lancer has been sold more that 6 million since its first launch in 1973.
The original Mitshubishi Lancer was underpowered and not really that entertaining to drive. The interior is was just fine. But the styling of the series is extremely dull. These have been changed a lot in its2nd generation model, esp. the new astounding styling that features in a "shark nose" facade.
And owing to the newly added solid handling dynamics (in addition to the base engine) and a new peppy engine choice, it is also somewhat fun to drive.
As a whole, Mitshubishi Lancer has been improved greatly from generation to generation. And it has been considered one of the best family car models in years. In 2008, the present generation of the Mitshubishi Lancer first came out.
The first Mitshubishi Lancer was launched at the year of 2002 to replace Mirage sedan. At the beginning, it came in 3 trim levels: ES,O-Z Rally as well as LS. The ES includes a series of fantastic features such as air-conditioning, CD player and power accessories.
At the meantime, the O-Z Rally trim gave a sports car look owing to special upgrades for interior in addition to the 15-inch O-Z alloy wheels.
The LS stood out with ABS and a cruise control and a fancy remote key-less entry. All these trims came with a 120-hp 2 liter engine as well as a 5-speed manual transmission. LS has a 4-speed automatic and later become available as an option in the other two models. But the most popular model is Lancer Evo.For more information about Lancer Evo, please go to lancerevo.us.
