What to do with this busted blister?
Well i burned my toes the other day. And today i had a blister. And i had a double header tonight. so i wrapped the blister in band aids and duct tape. When the games were over, i took off my sock to quick, and it ripped all the skin off the blister. So yeah, what should i do? To keep it from getting infected?
I put peroxide on it, soaked it in water for 10 minutes, dryed it, then sprayed some bandaid spray on it.
Some very good answers here; antibacterial ointment and bandaging is the way to go. All I have to add is STOP using the peroxide. It's too harsh and will kill healthy cells as well as bacteria. Peroxide can actually contribute to infections because the dead cells then become a buffet for bacteria. Soap and water and an antibacterial cream (neosporin, etc.) is all you need.
