I just bought a 91 Jeep Wrangler with the Islander decal package. The Jeep is white but I'm concerned that the fading might still be obvious.

A heat gun or hair drier will soften the glue so the stickers will peel off easily. There may be some sticky residue left on the paintwork. Rather than buying any special products to remove the residue you can use WD-40 or furniture polish if you have either handy.

With the stickers removed it is not so much fading you will see but the difference in the high gloss paint that has been protected by the stickers and the duller finish of the rest of the paint that has been scuffed by mud, dirt, washing and air blown particles over the years. I see this all the time when changing livery on vehicles and equipment.
