number 6 cylinder not firing?

my 1972 el camino has a 350 in it. i just replaced the plugs after i fried them after drag racing, now my number six cylinder isnt firing. however when i remove the wire from the distributor cap i see electricity flowing from the cap to the wire. the wires are 8mm MSD wires and are about 2 months old. Now is it possible a brand new plug is bad, or does it make more sense that i have a bad connection between the wire and the plug, because the number 6 cylinder plug is right below the header and is hard to access. if those two dont work should i look at the wire or does th cap and rotor sound more likely?

ok the plug is not going to be fowled, i installed them about 4 hours ago and i gapped them propperly, 0.035 for a chevy SB

You could have fouled the plug with heat. It happens. If you have spark at the end of #6 wire then you eliminated wire and cap. Pull plug, then have someone turn car over to see if spark is jumping from plug to header. If not, there ya go. Fouled plug. Try using a spark plug socket, then swivel, then 2 inch extension.
