need some advice on my custom exhaust system for my car?

ok my car is catylatic coverters inlet size is 2.25" but i wanna get some high from cats that are 2.5" inlet will that work? im gonna weld them to the pipes thats why....and my muffler is inlet is also 2.5"...i wanna do a complete 2.5" system...

well you can try going to a muffler shop and see if they have any adapters for that, kind of obvious one end will be the 2 1/4 " and the other end will be the 2 1/2", they should have some and wouldn't cost too much
