Here is the process by which you can replace the manual trailer jack with the electric trailer jack. For this first you need to have the one from the popular model which comes with the weight of 3000 lbs and above, depending on the type of the model of your trailer.

Then you should place the jack stands under the place on the frame rail of the trailer. Then you should slowly put the tongue of the trailer down so that it rests completely on the jack stands. Then you should remove the bolts that hold the old tongue jack in place and then lift out the old jack.

Now you should put the new electric jack in place as the old jack was and secure it with the new bolts and nuts. The next step is to wire the electric jack with the battery. For this first remove the battery cover and then connect and route the wire between the jack and the battery by following the instruction manual. Before you connect the power wire, you should put in some heat shrink tubing at the end of the wire. Get ring terminals to be connected at the end of the power wire.

Then connect the wires to the positive terminals of the battery. You will see that the jack is perfectly in place because of the contact between the metal of the both the tongues of the RV and that of the jack. This electrical jack comes with an inline fuse which blows up in case of any electrical malfunction and protects the system from damage.

After you complete the wiring now test whether it is perfectly connected and if it is so then replace the cover of the battery.
